SB: Escape

he cried.
overcame by hopelessness, succumbed to fear... he cried.
alone in the darkness, mesmerized by the silence... he cried.
staring at the dark walls, as voices echoed in his head.. he cried.
picturing their faces, haunted by past memories.. he cried.

and then he decided, I shall cry no more.

he forced the poison down his throat, the burning sensation sending a chill up his spine.
and for what seemed to be eternity, he murmured a silent prayer and waited for his time to come. his last breath.
his final moment.
his escape from the hell he was living in.
his eternal sleep.
and ultimately, his peace.

he opened his eyes. am i dead?

no, the poison did not work.
instead, the boy felt a sudden surge of energy rush through his body.
a power so overwhelming he could feel it in his veins.

he had never felt more alive before.
there is a reason why i am still breathing.
there is a purpose for this.
He let me live.... but for what?

In the serenity of the night, a deep understanding of his purpose slowly emerged within him. The sleeping monster inside him awakened as he placed the remaining pieces of the puzzle together.
Then finally, he understood everything. A higher power had bestowed upon him a powerful revelation of his purpose.
his final calling in this world.
his payback to those who had made his world a living hell.
his reason to continue living.
his vengeance.
